The old Smiley Lewis song lyrics"I Hear You Knocking...But you can't come in!" is appropriate for the JV Girls loss to Anchor Bay last night. They took a 29-24 lead into the 4th quarter but shot 1 of a 11 from the field with many attempts going in and out and circling the rim and dropping off. The girls battled but came up short 35-32. Allison Champion led scorers with 12 points and 9 rebounds, Annaliese Lamontagne added 9 pts. Anna Allington was strong at the point with 4 points. Sarah Lohr (2 pts) and Matti Griffor anchored the defense. Tatum Brooks (3 pts), Raegan Mozul (1pt. ) and Paige Van Slambrouck )(1 pt. ) tried to contain a tough Tars inside game. Alexis Joshua (3 assists) and Julia Edgington pitched in with solid defensive efforts. The Saints record drops to 10-2.

The Saints started out fast in the first quarter with a 17-3 lead and never looked backward as they defeated a hard working Cardinals team 53-33. The Saints were led in scoring by Allison Champion with 13 points, 6 rebounds and Paige Van Slambrouck with 11 points, 4 rebounds. Matti Griffor (4 pts) and Sarah Lohr (6 pts) led the defensive effort by setting an intense pace for the game. Annaliese Lamontagne despite some foul trouble had a big game with 7 points and 6 rebounds. Anna Allignton (3 points, 4 steals) and Alexis Joshua (2 points, 4 assists) provided quality point play. Tatum Brooks and Raegan Mozul both played well in the post and Julia Edgintgton was strong on defense. Josephina Gonzalea was inspiring with her hustle and rebounding while earning an impressive floor burn. Dayzee Hall, Jenna Card, and Kalli Grazia played well when they hit the floor in a total team effort. Way to Go Saints!

The JV Girls defeated Tower last night at Tower Nation in Warren 53-5. The Saints came out charging like Chilean Tigers as they posted a 15-0 lead after the first quarter. They continued on that pace for the rest of the game forcing a running clock for the sixth time this season. The Saints were led by Annaliese Lamontagne with 14 points, Paige Van Slambrouck with 11 points, Alexis Joshua and Tatum Brooks added 6 points. Anna Allington played splendidly on her birthday with 4 points which included her first 3 pointer. Matti Griffor, Sarah Lohr and Allison Champion each played stellar defense and scored two points each. Jenna Card had a good effort with 2 points. Raegan Mozul added 2pts with strong post play. Julia Edgington played with intensity and Kallli Grazia and Josephina Gonzalez played clawing aggressive defense. Congratulations to Dayzee Hall who scored her first point of the season!!!
The Saints are now 9-1 and finish MAC Silver league play with an unbeaten 8-0 record.

JV Girls win 8th Straight!
The JV girls defeated Madison last night 51-3. The Saints had 11 players who scored led by Annaliese Lamontagne with 16 points. The Saints started out sluggish before a sparse crowd at the Eagle's nest in Madison with a 7-0 lead at the end of the first quarter but then erupted for 16 points in the second quarter and 21 points in the third quarter to put the game away. The girls are now 8-1 overall and 7-0 in the MAC Silver.
