"I felt amazing today," Parr said. "It was perfect weather. It was only the second race of the season and I'm already where I wanted to be. I'm very excited."
In the girls event, Alaina Carroll of Armada was first overall (19:23). She was followed by Riley Ford of Marlette (19:27), Sara Herrera of Capac (20:02), Lily Connelly of Cros-Lex and Megan McCulloch of Marysville (20:15.5).
In the Division 1 portion of the event, Ashley Defrain of Port Huron Northern was third overall (18:39). Carter Stoner, also of Northern, was 15th overall in the boys event (16:58).
"We had a beautiful day to race on a flat, fast course," Croswell-Lexington girls coach Lisa Shaw said. "It was exciting to have all seven (Cros-Lex) varsity on the podium. It is fun to watch the girls mature and take on leadership roles."
